Client: The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta
Project Description
C&M facilitated the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta’s (UWMA) strategic planning process for its Education Leadership Council known as the Ready by 21 Collaborative Network.
The consultancy involved planning and facilitating stakeholder meetings to solicit input from a broad and diverse group of organizations, institutions and government agencies from metropolitan Atlanta’s education sector. Committed to honoring an intentional paradigm shift in how they connected to community, UWMA engaged a region-wide group of stakeholders to collaboratively define short term and long range outcomes, performance indicators and strategies to improve education across metro Atlanta. In addition to the collection of input data, the three facilitated sessions, each of which included over 150 participants, employed participatory methodologies designed to support and advance United Way’s goal of developing a sustainable collaborative network of individuals and organizations with a long-term education focus.
The deliverable for this project was a community-driven strategic plan that included long term aspirational goals and short term targets with
measurable outcomes, implementation strategies and performance indicators to gauge progress. The full strategic plan framework was adopted by the Metropolitan Atlanta United Way Board of Directors.
